Bonneville Salt Flats Engagement | Raegin & Brock

Raegin and Brock’s Bonneville Salt Flats engagement session was truly an unforgettable experience! It is located outside of Salt Lake City and is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. I have always dreamed of shooting in Utah but never thought the opportunity would come so soon! If you saw my previous engagement session blog post, you know you’re in a treat for this one!

With Brock’s encouragement, Raegin called me and asked if I would be willing to flying out to Utah to shoot their engagement session. Ummm.. yes?? Without hesitation I hopped on a flight to Utah and had the BEST time with Raegin, Brock and some of their friends/family. We drove around Utah, had late night talks and just enjoyed the best time!

Engagement Session Day

We started their engagement session at the Utah State Capitol. Their classy outfits fit right in with the gorgeous architecture of the Capitol. Both inside and outside of the Capitol is such a staple location for an engagement session. When we first walked inside we were greeted with quite a few events. We almost thought we wouldn’t be able to get pictures in front of the gorgeous steps located inside the atrium. But we found an open area and made it happen!

We then headed out for the hour and a half drive to the Bonneville Salt Flats (shout out to Raegin’s mom for being an awesome chauffeur the entire trip!). I had read so many reviews about getting to the salt flats and the main tip was to not miss the exit for the rest stop. If you do, it’s going to take another hour and 40 minutes to get back to it. And of course, we missed the exit. But, it turned out to be the greatest blessing! We headed to the next exit that led us right out into the salt flats. We drove onto the flats and stepped out into the most unique landscape I have ever seen.  It feels like a completely different world. There truly is no where else like it!

Reagin was a little nervous leading up to their session and mentioned that they did not know how to pose for engagement photos. I reassured her they would do fine, and of course they did! Keep scrolling for the sweetest engagement session at the Utah State Capitol and Bonneville Salt Flats.

Thank you SO much, Raegin & Brock, for allowing me to capture these moments and I absolutely cannot wait for your wedding coming up in just a few short months!!
