Classic, Traditional Mississippi Wedding | Raegin & Brock

I have been long awaiting Raegin and Brocks classic, traditional Mississippi wedding since their epic Utah Salt Flats engagement session. We had the best time hanging in Utah and new friendships were made that I didn’t even know I needed.

I love when I show up on the wedding day and it’s like showing up to a friends wedding. I’ve known Raegin and Brock in passing for many years, but we have grown so much closer over the last few months through the many phone calls and texts that come with planning a wedding. Raegin was absolutely amazing to work with in planning her wedding. She was on top of everything, quick to communicate and never hesitant to go with any of my suggestions.

Ok ok, I’ll stop bragging on my couple and get to all the wedding deets! Raegin and Brocks classic, traditional Mississippi wedding was blessed with a beautiful warm, April spring day. We started at Raegin’s house shooting details and getting ready photos. She opted for a first look with her bridesmaids, her dad and her brothers and each one was so sweet to witness!

Raegin’s home church has phenomenal musicians and singers, so of course all of the music was live. Yup, you read that right. The ceremony began with a song by their ensemble as recognized guests were ushered in. Let me just say, if your wedding doesn’t include a choir, what are you doing? No, but really, it was amazing! They then transitioned into a worship song that brought in the sweet presence of the Lord. Raegin surprised Brock with a song right before she walked down the aisle. Any bride that sings on her wedding day gets extra points from me. Then once she reached the end of the aisle with her dad, Raegin also surprised her dad with a song dedicated to him. The tears were on high alert.

I was so excited for their portraits as Raegin informed me that their exit car would be an old Thunderbird and wanted some pictures with it during their portraits. Yes, yes and yes again!

Their reception included even more amazing music by a live band, delicious food and cake and sweet speeches.

The night ended with a fireworks extravaganza, then they sped off in the vintage Thunderbird!

Raegin and Brock, I can’t thank you enough for allowing me to be a part of your special day!
