It was a hot, humid day in southern Mississippi when I pulled up to the house to begin capturing Sallie and Brendan’s wedding. I was met with hugs, laughter and an invitation to devour any of the food they had spread across the kitchen island. Man, I love that southern hospitality.

For their colorful summer Mississippi wedding, Sallie chose a beautiful color palette with beautiful pink, yellow, white purple and dashes of blue florals. I had the most fun capturing her details. She was so detailed of her vision which made it an easy task to style her details. I kept commenting to my assistant how smooth and easy the day was going and just how much fun I was having.

I had a blast working with Brendan and his guys. They were so kind and cooperative and kept us all laughing. In spite of the heat, they stuck it out with me. They’ve earned a star from this photographer! The bridal party was just that, a party! I can’t stress the importance of surrounding yourself with the best people on your day.

There were so many small things during their day that made it so special. But getting to spend the day with Sallie and Brendan along with their family and friends was one of my absolute favorite things about their day. After shooting their sweet engagement session in Shreveport earlier this year, I knew it was going to be absolutely perfect! They are surrounded by such an amazing support group which was so evident throughout the day. They are the sweetest couple and I can’t wait to watch their love and relationship blossom into everything God has planned for them. Thank you both so much for having me!
