Vanessa and Gerardo’s Dallas engagement session took us to three of my favorite spots in the city: SMU campus, Hotel Crescent Court, and downtown Dallas. Each location brought something different, but the thread through the whole day was the same. These two are easy together. Their love showed up in every frame.
Starting at SMU Campus
We began at SMU campus, and the light there could not have been more perfect. It gave us a soft, warm backdrop that let their outfits truly stand out.
Vanessa wore a white halter, a-line dress. Simple, timeless, and exactly right for the setting. Gerardo wore his U.S. Army uniform, and there was something so meaningful about seeing that pride on display during their engagement photos. Moments like this are why I love what I do. It is never just about the pictures. It is about capturing who these two are, together.
A Touch of Elegance at Hotel Crescent Court
From SMU, we moved to Hotel Crescent Court for a change of pace and a change of style. Vanessa switched into a fitted, off-the-shoulder white gown, and Gerardo matched her elevated look in a classic black suit and tie.
This location gave the session a more polished, luxury feel. The architecture and detail at Crescent Court are hard to beat, and it paired beautifully with the tone Vanessa and Gerardo wanted for this part of their day.
Closing Out Downtown
We wrapped up the session in downtown Dallas, letting the city itself become part of their story. It was the perfect way to end a session that had already covered so much ground, from campus charm to hotel elegance to city energy.
