It still blows my mind when people say they’ve followed my work for years. That they always knew they’d reach out when it was their turn to get married. That’s exactly how Candace felt—and when she got engaged, she already knew who she wanted to photograph her wedding day. What an honor! Candace and Caleb’s classic Las Vegas wedding was sweet, emotional, and full of meaning from the very beginning.
Getting Ready
I started the day photographing details (one of my favorite parts of any wedding day!). And then captured Candace getting into her dress with the help of her beautiful mom. From there, it was one emotional moment after another—in the best way.
First Looks
Her bridesmaids’ reactions during their first look with Candace were so full of love and joy. But it was the first look with her dad that really hit home. When he teared up seeing his daughter in her dress for the first time, it was an unforgettable moment.
Ceremony, Portraits, Reception
It didn’t stop there. After walking her down the aisle, Candace’s dad sang a song to her before giving her away—cue the tissues. The ceremony was beautiful, full of heart, and followed by a sweet receiving line where Candace and Caleb were able to greet and hug each of their guests.
We spent some time with their bridal party and then stole a few quiet moments for bride and groom portraits before heading into their reception. Although it was short and sweet, it had everything it needed— including cake (yes, I absolutely had a slice!).
Before the evening ended, we snuck out for a few getaway car photos—because who can resist those classic, just-married vibes? And right before the sparkler exit, it started to drizzle, but only for a minute. The timing couldn’t have been better—we got the sparklers lit and sent Candace and Caleb off in style.
Candace and Caleb, thank you for letting me be a part of your day. What a joy to document such a beautiful day. Here’s to forever!
