When I flew out to California for Aubrey and Garrison’s engagement session, I couldn’t wait to get back for their wedding! If you loved their engagement session, be prepared for this traditional, romantic California wedding to have you swooning!
If you know me, you know I love California. Any chance I get to go, I’m there. And being there to shoot Aubrey and Garrison’s wedding had me like a kid at the candy store.
Working with Aubrey as she planned her wedding was so easy! Aubrey and her sweet mom were on top of it and I was never worried about how the day was going to go. They were so open with their communication and always sought my advice when making decisions that could strongly affect the photography side of the day.
The Wedding Day
We started the day at the ever gorgeous Mission Inn hotel in Riverside. Aubrey and her girls were so sweet throughout the day, helping where needed and always keeping us laughing. Aubrey’s first looks with her bridesmaids and her dad did not disappoint. Yes, there were tears. But it brought memories that will never be forgotten.
The ceremony was so well planned and thought out. The words from Aubrey’s grandfather & Pastor were so well spoken with many words of encouragement and advice. Garrison’s Pastor, who is now also Aubrey’s Pastor, was the dad of a previous bride of mine. Who, by the way, referred me for this wedding (trust me, I photograph the best people!!) and his words were just as thoughtful and encouraging.
After the ceremony, they held a cupcake reception for their guests, which was a first for me to experience! Afterwards we headed to Prospect Park for their bridal party portraits as well as bride and groom portraits. Such a fun bridal party!
For our last stop, we ended at their reception location, The Mitten Building, where Aubrey changed into her second gorgeous dress and we were able to grab a few more portraits.
The reception was laid back yet filled with so much fun and laughter which honestly suited Aubrey and Garrison so well. Such a sweet, mild-mannered couple that knows exactly how to have just the right amount of fun!
Aubrey and Garrison, thank you so much for having me! It literally means the world to me when a couple chooses ME! And they not only flew me out there once, but twice, to be there to capture such a monumental part of their lives. I’m so blessed!
Enjoy Aubrey and Garrison’s traditional California wedding!
