Nassau Bahamas Wedding | Alisha & Aphiah

When I received Alisha’s inquiry about her Nassau Bahamas Wedding I knew at the time that I myself would be getting married just a week before her. It was a risky decision as I didn’t know if I would be able to give the same attention and care that I do for each of my brides. However, after speaking with Alisha who is the absolute sweetest, most calm person you will talk to, I knew it would be ok. Once she officially booked, it was truly a surreal moment for me. Knowing that someone had enough faith in me to fly me all the way to the Bahama’s to capture a once in a lifetime day. It’s still an unreal feeling, but I am so honored.

As Alisha and I both planned our weddings together, we kept in contact over the next several months. She was so understanding and amazing with communication. We met for our final meeting over Zoom with Alisha and Aphiah, and I was blown away by their genuine character and the way they both carried themselves.

As we drove into the gorgeous Sandals Royal Bahamian, I knew this wedding would be one for the books! The Sandals Royal Bahamian is probably the most gorgeous resort you will find yourself on in the Bahamas. The all white buildings with beautiful architecture and the wonderful attention to detail in every aspect of the resort is breathtaking.

The Wedding Day

We began the wedding day at Alisha’s villa capturing details and getting ready portraits. I met up with Aphiah and his guys whom were a complete blast to hang out with! You could 100% count on them to lighten up the mood at any time with their contagious laughs. Aphiah chose a cream suit that complimented the day perfectly, while his groomsmen wore light, brown-toned suits.

As we boarded the boat and rode over to the private island for their ceremony, I was able to capture stunning bridal portraits of Alisha on the boat. Alisha is beautiful inside and out, and it was so easy to capture portraits of her. She kept asking me to tell her what to do, but I honestly didn’t have to do much. I felt like I was slacking on my job, but she made it so easy!

Aphiah had the biggest smile on his face as saw his bride for the first time that day walk down the aisle. You could tell all of Alisha’s worries of the day melted away. Their beachfront ceremony in Nassau was so touching and thoughtful in so many ways. Just before their vows, they made sure to include a time of worship, inviting God into their life and marriage.

As they entered into the reception, everyone was given St. Kitts flags in commencement to Aphiah’s home country. The party was so fun and there was never a dull moment! The night ended with fire dancers, sparklers, and a night time boat ride back to the main island!

Alisha and Aphiah, thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your gorgeous Nassau Bahamas wedding! It was an honor that I truly do not take for granted! Enjoy the blog post!
