Some moments stay with you forever. And Shaan and Monica’s proposal at Rockledge Park in Grapevine, TX, was one of those moments. Set against the stunning backdrop of Grapevine Lake surrounded by cliffs nearing sunset, it was the perfect setting for a love story to unfold.
Shaan reached out to me a few weeks before the proposal, and together, we meticulously planned every detail. We met at the exact location to map out the moment. We planned where he would stand, the direction he’d face, and how to ensure Monica wouldn’t suspect a thing. The timing was flawless, and everything was set for the big surprise.
The Proposal
The day of the proposal was extra special—it was Monica’s birthday! Shaan told her that he had booked a photographer to capture some birthday photos, which added a layer of excitement and kept the surprise intact. Little did she know, this photoshoot would change her life forever.
As they walked along the picturesque cliffs, I gave Monica some posing directions to keep her relaxed and focused on the “photoshoot.” Then, at just the right moment, Shaan dropped to one knee, and asked her to be his forever. Her reaction was pure magic—complete surprise, joy, and the kind of love that lights up a room (or, in this case, an entire lakeside).
But the surprises didn’t end there! After the proposal, Monica was greeted by her family, who had been waiting to celebrate the happy couple. We wrapped up the evening with a small “just engaged” photo session, capturing their radiant smiles and all the emotions of the day.
